User Conference Brainstorming 2023

TraCS team decided to have again go with the Virtual User Conference for 2023

 

2022 Notable items that we need to consider this year too:

  • Similar Dates to avoid for the conference:

    • October 4-5, 2022 - 3rd Annual - Division of Forensic Sciences (DFS) Symposium held at Monona Terrace

    • Spillman - April conference

    • CIB - No Conference this year.

    • ProPhoenix - September 26-29th

    • Governor's conference is in August

    • Prefer to schedule it on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

 

  • Likely a two day conference

    • Much like last year

    • Start at 9am

    • Last breakout done by 2pm.

 

  • Possible Dates:

October 10-11

October 17-18

October 24-25 <-- Leaning Towards this date (2 Votes for this)

October 31 - November 1

 

  • Does anyone here today have a preference for either EARLY or LATER in the month?

    • Earlier in the Month =

    • Later in the Month =

 

When we pick a date or dates, we will send out a Save the Date email.

 

 

Conference Day:

 

  • General Session

    • Housekeeping

      • Review the agenda

      • Training, Breakouts, Breaks, etc.

    • Update on Staffing Situation

      • Changes

        • Empty spots getting approved to hire

        • Possibly spots that got filled recently

    • TraCS Plan for the next couple of years

      • Possible projects they will be working on

        • Search Warrant reporting from TraCS

          • Certain info needs to be obtained and sent to DOJ

          • This is in discovery phase

        • Enhancements for UFAD to include fields for agencies to tracs ECD

        • Place of Last Drink

          • Discovery phase

        • Additional transmissions for Incident form

          • PDMP

      • New forms they will be working on if any

        • Towing Supplement-- Release Fall 2024

      • Working on Bugs/Enhancements?

        • Bugs are caught up as of June 23 Pack

        • Enhancement pack October 23

      • F2 Help project

        • FAC reviewed possible F2 Help fields that could have the F2 help language be used across all forms.

          • This has since been completed and will be released in the June Pack

        • Warning, NTC, and ELCI have been reviewed and just need to be prepared for pack.

        • Currently working on reviewing accuracy of F2 helps of other forms with FAC that are not "common language"

 

  • Latest update on Moving to SQL (getting off of MS Access)

    • How many agencies are still on Access?

 

  • Update on Hosted Environment

    • # of agencies on BTHE

    • # of agencies waiting to move

    • # of agencies still on MS Access - no contact

    • Next year (2023) will be sending out a draft Agreement so they know what the cost will be for the agreement ending on 12/31/2024

  • Overview of TraCS Baseline 22 (Quick - Short)

    • Update timeline of when it will be rolled out

    • New requirements

    • New features

    • Review TraCS for Web

      • What the new features are that can be done using TraCS for Web

  • Confluence/Documentation

        • First: Address the common features that both the hosted/non-hosted

        • Second: What will change for non-hosted web services office machines and mobile units

        • Third: Hosted Office Training - how features work differently than non-hosted hosted agencies
