FORMS ADVISORY COMMITTEE CHARTER

Badger TraCS FORMS ADVISORY COMMITTEE
A. COMMITTEE RESOURCES:
The committee will meet quarterly.
Each meeting will last approximately 3 to 4 hours but may extend up to 8 hours.
In-Person and virtual are options for attendance.
Additional meetings may be scheduled with committee approval.
B. PURPOSE:
Recommend enhancements to the Badger TraCS suite of forms.
Provide input into the prioritization of new form requests.
Provide guidance and assistance at the Annual Badger TraCS Users Conference.
C. PROJECT BOUNDARIES:
The committee will:
Recommend changes to existing TraCS forms.
Provide input into the development of the data entry screens for new TraCS forms.
Document, Review, and/or create online help.
Create accompanying instruction manual for developed forms.
Test developed forms.
Act as liaisons to the law enforcement community and provide outreach on TraCS policies, initiatives and best practices.
The committee will not:
Change the core data items.
D. DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY:
The committee will:
Provide recommendations for future TraCS development and new form prioritization to the Badger TraCS program manager.
Final approval will come from Badger TraCS program manager.
E. COMMITTEE MEMBERS:
Law enforcement officers, Business Area Experts, Form Sponsors, and Badger TraCS staff.
Law enforcement officers on the committee are routine users of TraCS and complete the crash, citation and other enforcement forms.
Officers come from geographically diverse locations across the state.
Small, medium, and large agencies are represented.
Local, county, and state agencies are represented.
Each law enforcement member is limited to a two-year term. Members may re-apply for additional terms, but priority will be given to agencies that have not served before.
Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, one tribal community, one Special Jurisdiction Police Department(i.e. Railroad, State Fair Park, VA, Capital Police) and at least one official first class city will have permanent representation on this committee; however, the individual members may rotate.
Law Enforcement Officer/Member are required to be sworn officers, only Business Area Experts, Form Sponsors and Badger TraCS staff can be non-sworn staff
