Encode Form Number

The encoder is used to calculate what a form number will be given the document serial number.  Normally this is used during troubleshooting when a need arises to advance a form’s document number.  Special care should be given when dealing with form numbers

  • Open the decoder by clicking the Decoder Button on the Tools Ribbon

 

  • Choose the Form Type from the Drop down

  • Type your agency number (should have defaulted.)

  • Type the Machine ID

  • Type the Serial number, up to Six digits.

  • The encoded number appears in the Document number box
