How To Edit The MACH Buddy List

Click on the “Buddy List” tab on the MACH screen to open the Buddy List.
To change who you can see in your Buddy List click on the “Edit Buddy List” button.
Click the Minus button to collapse all grouping in the Buddy List. This will make it easier to see what agencies you can view in your Buddy List.
If an agency is checked in the Buddy List, they will be EXCLUDED from your Buddy List. If the agency is unchecked they will be INCLUDED in your Buddy List.
In this example we will be editing the Buddy List so we will see all State Patrol Sworn and LEDS.
Click the arrow to the left of the WSP agency group to expand the selection.
Click the arrow to the left of the WSP1 group to expand the selection.
Check the box for “Additional Groups” to exclude them from your list. Leave LED and Sworn unchecked to include them in your list. Click “OK” to close the Buddy List editor.
The Buddy List will now update. This can take up to 60 seconds. Your Buddy List will now show all Sworn and LED’s.
Depending on what the grouping was prior to editing the Buddy List, users may see the list is grouped by post/region or not at all.
Clicking the “Cycle Grouping” button will change the way the users are grouped in the Buddy List.
There are 6 separate grouping options:
No grouping at all
By agency
By division
By class Sworn/LED
By Region
By Post
Users can expand/reduce the groups by clicking the arrow to the left of the group.
Users can show both offline and online user by right clicking anywhere in the Buddy List and clicking the “Show Offline Users” button.
By using this function in the Buddy List, users can quickly see which of their Buddy List users are logged into MACH throughout the state. For example, to see if someone was working in another region, use the Buddy List search bar. By entering the user’s name or car number in the search bar, the Buddy List will filter out the other users.
Users also have the ability to limit their Buddy List further. This example shows how to limit the Buddy List so only Waukesha LEDs and Sworn are displayed.
Click the Edit Buddy List button.
Click the minus button to collapse the grouping.
Click the arrows to expand the groups for WSP1/LED and Sworn.
Check the boxes next to the posts you want to exclude, leaving only Waukesha Post LED/SWORN unchecked. Then click “OK”. Your Buddy List will update, and you will only be viewing Waukesha Post LED/SWORN.
