There are two ways to initiate an Instant Message session:

Double-click a user in the Buddy List to create an Instant Message session with that user.

OR

Click the Instant Message button at the top of the MACH window.

Then, select a user from the list and click OK to initiate a session.

The search function on this screen is useful if there is a large number of users to sort through in your Users panel.

Send an Instant Message

Once a session is open and selected in the Message window, you are able to send and receive messages with other users in the session.

There are two main components to every session. The input box and the display box.

Enter text into the input box and click Send to send the message to all of the users participating in the session.
