MACH Map Overview

General Map Options

  • Zoom In - Zooms in on the map.

  • Zoom Out - Zooms out on the map.

  • Zoom Selection - Puts the map into selection mode which allows you to click and drag to select an area on the map. After your selection is made, the map will automatically zoom to it.

  • Show all Icons - Adjusts the map to the appropriate zoom level so that all icons drawn on the map can be seen.

  • Zoom to Layer - Zooms to the selected layer so that all markers that belong to that layer are displayed. Layers will only be available if they have been added to the Layers panel.

  • Zoom to Zone - Centers the map on a specific zone. Zones will only be available if they have been configured by an administrator.

  • Center on Current Location - Centers the map on your current location.

Map Tracking

Click the Map Tracking button to open the Map Tracking menu.

There are three available map tracking options. Only one option can be selected at a time.

  • None - The map will not automatically track any GPS markers. You will need to manually navigate the map.

  • Always Follow Me - The map will move so that the marker that indicates your location will always be centered on the map.

  • Always Follow All Icons - The map will always zoom to a level at which all of the current map markers can be seen.

Map Controls

  • Map Type - Check this option to enable the map type bar in the Map panel. Use the map type bar to switch between regular mode, satellite mode, and hybrid mode in the Map panel.

 

 

 

 

  • Map Mode - Standard map.

  • Satellite - Satellite version of the map. Roads are not marked on the map in this mode.

  • Hybrid - Satellite version of the map. Only major roads are marked on the map in this mode.

  • Zoom & Pan - Check this option to enable navigational zoom & pan buttons in the Map panel.

 

 

 

  • Scale - Check this option to add a scale in the Map panel.

 

  • Location Search - Check this option to add the Location Search bar to the Map panel. You can use the Location Search bar to search for locations on the map. For example, a search for Wal-Mart would place a marker on the map at the location of the nearest Wal-Mart. Search results also include MACH map markers that meet the search criteria.

Map Filtering

Click the Map Filtering button to open the Map Filtering menu.

  • Show Me on the Map - Check this option to show your location on the map. Uncheck this option to hide your location on the map

  • Show Session Markers - Some sessions, such as alerts, have map markers associated with them. If this option is checked, session map markers will be visible on your map. If this option is unchecked, session map markers will not be visible on your map.

  • Status - Allows you to filter the map so that you only see users with a particular status.

  • Sub Status - Allows you to filter the map so that you only see users with a particular sub status.

  • Transport - Allows you to filter the map so that you only see users with a particular transport type.

  • Location Type - Allows you to filter the map so that you only see users with a particular location type.

  • Zone - Allows you to filter the map so that you only see users whose current location lies within the specified zone. Zones are specified by your agency administrator.
