How the Units Tab works in MACH(LED)

P&P 5-2 Traffic Stops and Security Reporting dictates the requirement for hourly checks for our field personnel. The Units tab in the MACH CAD system is designed to track the last time our officer made an update on their computer within MACH.

At the top of the Units tab are the following options:

Whatever assignment you choose will dictate who you see in the Units Tab.  If you choose WSP1>LED>Waukesha Post for instance you will only see units that have chosen the corresponding sworn assignment.

But, wait… There's more…

  • We still need to "sort" the units so we can see the users that we haven't had contact with for the longest period of time.

  • Left-click the 'Last Activity' column header to sort by time since last activity. When the triangle is pointing up, the oldest last activity will be at the top

What happens when we need to perform a 10-75 check???

  • On the first version of the Units tab the user's Display Name and Last Activity will turn red. Also, a button with a clock in it will be displayed. This button can be used to manually reset the timer when you make contact with the user.

    • On the first version, the manual timer reset button only shows when the user's Last Activity reaches 60 minutes. We are working with the developer to have this displayed for all users at all times, which will allow a dispatcher to reset the timer at any time.

What else can the Units tab be used for?

  • There is a quick and easy way to filter information on the Units tab. There is a blank row above the first user that can be used to filter any of the columns.

  • If I want to quickly find a particular user, I can type their radio number or their last name, or any part of the information that is in the Display Name field to quickly filter the information.

  • Or, maybe, we want to quickly find a TRU. Typing in 'TRU' in the Attributes field filters to only the TRU personnel.

  • Or, I want to see everyone that is not on a CFS

But wait…

  • Grouping allows you to "bunch" common things together. I see the best example of this is for the person that does not want to apply the Division filter because it is too bothersome, and would rather see the entire State (or always see certain Posts).

    • Let's group by Post….

    • Left-click and hold on the 'Division' column header, and drag it to the area above it.

  • Deforest Post also dispatches for Tomah Post at night. Soooo..... (wait for it!) The dispatchers in Deforest could filter:

    • the "Division" column header to only see Deforest and Tomah Post

    • Group by Division

    • Sort by 'Last Activity'. (Don't forget to toggle to show Offline Users!)
