Activity Log Tab (LED)

The Activity Log tab is for dispatcher use and will be used to record information that doesn't belong in its own Call for Service.

Top of the Activity Log

  • Dock button

    • This button is in many MACH views, and allows the user to undock & dock the current view with the main MACH application.

  • Reset button

    • The columns and be grouped, sorted, filtered and rearranged. This button will reset the view to the original default view.Ā 

    • Resetting the view cannot be undone

  • Print

    • This will print the current information you have viewable in your Activity Log.

    • The information can be filtered with any of the column headers

    • You will be prompted to enter a report description, which is optional.

  • Retrieve button

    • You will be prompted for a timeframe that you wish to view.

    • Most of the time, the Quick Pick buttons will suffice for a dispatcher's needs

  • Filter older entries

    • This allows the dispatcher to filter the older entries by time. For example, the dispatcher retrieves the last 8 hours of entries at the beginning of their shift, but once they reviewed those entries, the dispatcher only wants the last 3 hours. This button allows that.

    • This filter setting will be remembered when the user logs back in. So, when the dispatcher logs back in, all they would need to do is click the "Retrieve Log" button and click the "8 hours" button. All entries would be returned, but the dispatcher would only see the last 3 hrs until they toggled the Filter older entries button.

Bottom of the Activity Log

The bottom of the Activity Log is where you can enter data.

  • Type

    • Defaulted to Radio, but can be changed by the dispatcher

    • Available Types

      • 511

      • Email

      • MACH Other

      • PBX-Phone

      • Person

      • Radio

      • TTY

  • Unit

    • Start typing in this field any information for the MACH CAD user to filter the data. So, typing a call number will quickly filter the information.Ā 

  • Code

    • Typing in this field brings up any available information.

    • The following codes are currently available for use:

  • The Detail area is a free text area for the dispatcher to type as needed.
