TraCS Form Viewer Layout

The Forms Viewer screen appears when a form is created or opened in the Forms Manager. In the Forms Viewer, you can enter data into new TraCS forms and view/edit existing TraCS forms.

To view a form, double click on it while in the Forms Manager.

Ribbon Controls - Using the Forms Viewer Ribbon Controls, a number of different actions can be performed on the forms within the open contact folder.

Navigation Panel - The controls in the Forms Viewer Navigation Panel allow users to easily navigate within the currently opened form, add new forms to the current contact folder, and access external information.

Databars - The Databar is used to enter information that can then be applied to the field that is selected on the open form. Each field has a specific Databar associated with it, which determines the type of data can be applied to that field (date, text, signature, etc.).

Form Window - The Form Window is where open forms are displayed. When a field is selected on a form in the Form Window, the databar for that field will be displayed above the Form Window.

Form Navigation

Form Navigation

In the Navigation panel you can access the form Navigation

You may use the <ENTER> key to move to the next field.

There is a Navigation Tree on the left-hand side of the form.

It shows the Groups on the forms and all forms that are currently open in the Case.  The Group that you’re currently entering data in is highlighted.  You can use the Navigation Tree to move around the form by clicking on the Group that you want to go to.

The middle of the lower part of the screen shows the portion of the form into which you’re currently keying data.  The data field that corresponds to the data bar where you’re entering data is highlighted.  Fields that are “grayed out” are disabled and not available for data entry unless further actions are taken.

To easily view and navigate between forms in a contact use the navigation area on the left side of Forms Viewer.

External Information is populated by Mobile Data Browsers or manually keyed into a form.  External Information is then saved into Common Information.  Highlighting Common Information displays all the information in Individuals, Vehicles, Locations and Carriers.  Highlight Individuals to only show Individuals.
