Task 1.4.1: Update Database Connection Strings

Purpose: Connects the TraCS mast computer to the TraCS databases.

Requirements: Master computer.

NOTE: As of 2023 there is only MS SQL as a database, if you are sill using MS Access please contact badgertracs@dot.wi.gov for being added to the Hosted Environment or complete

• Double click the shortcut for the TraCS Configuration Manager, located on your desktop.

•  Sign in with the TraCS administrator account.

•  Click Setup tab 

• Click the Database Connections button in the Setup ribbon

Open

• Expand the Database Connections Item.

• Select from among the available database connections:

  • Data

  • Log

  • Users

  • Support

  • Custom

  • Data_FieldUnit

  • Support_FieldUnit

  • Custom_FieldUnit
