How to fix reoccurring Outlook lockouts

  • Make sure you are able to access Outlook. Unlock account or change password at IAM if needed.  Call the DOT help desk if you forgot your security questions.  Once done open outlook to ensure your password now works.  IAM account support. 

  • Close out of all Microsoft office products, outlook, excel, word etc….

  • Open Microsoft word.  Click on you name in the upper right hand corner. 

  • Click on and open account settings

  • Under your name should be your email address. If it is not, sign out of the account. 

  • Choose “YES” for at warning. 

  • Choose “Sign In” 

  • Enter your email address

  • Enter your email password.   ( Make sure to use the most current one that works for the account ) Keep me signed in can be checked. 

  • Your account information will now be correct.
