iPhone Email Password Change
Change the Email Password on iOS Devices – iOS 10 or later
IMPORTANT: iOS Devices configured to connect to your DOT email save the email password within the device. Whenever the DOT email password is changed, the saved email password on the device must also be properly changed.
If the password is not properly changed on the device, the device will attempt to connect to your DOT email account with the outdated password, and will quickly lock the account from attempting to connect with the wrong password.
To update the saved email password on your device, please follow these instructions:
On the
Home screen, tap Settings.
2.On the Settings screen, tap the slider next to Airplane Mode so that it turns ON.
NOTE: If you have more than one iOS (iPad/iPhone) mobile device connected to your DOT email, be sure turn Airplane Mode ON for ALL mobile devices before proceeding.
3.Set the device aside and proceed with changing your email password as you normally would through
https://eiam.wisconsin.gov using a non-mobile device (ie, your workstation or laptop).
4.Back on the device, on the
Settings screen, tap Accounts & Passwords, (Not Mail):
5.On the Accounts & Passwords screen, tap Exchange ActiveSync:
6.On the Exchange ActiveSync screen, tap Account:
7.On the Account screen, update the Password to the new password you set in Step 3, and tap Done:
8.On the Exchange Account prompt, tap OK (if Applicable):
9.On the Account screen, tap Done again (if Applicable):
10. On the prompt, tap Save (if Applicable):
11. On the Accounts & Passwords screen, tap Settings to go back to the main Settings screen. Finally, on the Settings screen, tap the slider next to Airplane Mode so that it turns OFF:
