Creating Searches for the TraCS Inspection Form

It may be beneficial to create several searches within TraCS for the TraCS inspection form. The current default search created for everyone at the academy does not include any searches for the inspection form.
To create a new search first clear and pervious search that was complete or that was opened with TraCS.
Next start to create the search parameters by first limiting the search to your inspections forms only.
Select "User ID…"
Enter your DITDOT into the top blank field in the primary column. Check the row that has your DITDOT and information. Select "Apply".
Next select "Form…"
Scroll down to the inspection form, check the box, and select "OK".
Select Status. To view all open or validated forms that have NOT been issued check both the "Open", "Validated", “Issued”, and “Completed” statuses.
Select "Save" within the Favorites box.
An empty field will open. Enter the name for the search. The search will save automatically. If you wish to run the search select "Run Selected Search". To return to the home search view select the "Form" tab.
These are the base searches for inspection forms in these specific statuses. To further narrow down the search you can add additional information such as a Date range or CFS number.
After selecting the search from the favorites tab and running the selected search return to the Form tab. The search parameters will remain to what was run last. You now can add the additional search parameter without creating a new search.
From the Form tab enter the beginning and end dates to look for inspections with the other parameters set previously.
Searching By CFS
Clear any previous searches. Go to the Case tab and enter the CFS number into the Case Number field. You can also add a date range to this search to narrow down when the inspection was completed if the CFS involved multiple days.
