Date Occurred

Enter the date incident occurred. This field defaults to current system date when opening a form.

This field is found on every form.

Enter the time the incident occurred (Military Format). This field defaults to the current system time.

Common Information Location

COMMON INFORMATION This group contains fields considered “Common Information” and with common information, TraCS can reduce repetition by enabling an officer to enter certain types of data once and use it many times. Using the TraCS Location Tool, will populate the common information section. A scenario when common information can be useful is when a motorist involved in a crash is responsible for causing the crash. That location information could be common information used on both a citation form and crash form. Using common information, the location information could be entered once onto the crash form, and then automatically applied to the citation form and any other necessary forms with the click of a button TraCS Location Tool (TLT)

Common Information Individual

COMMON INFORMATION This group contains fields considered “Common Information” and with common information, TraCS can reduce repetition by enabling an officer to enter certain types of data once and use it many times. When running an Individual(1027) or Vehicle(1028) search along with utilizing either MACH or the “External Search” button within TraCS, this will populate the common information section. A scenario when common information can be useful is when a motorist involved in a crash is responsible for causing the crash. That motorist's name, address, and vehicle information could be common information used on both a citation form and crash form. Using common information, the motorist's information could be entered once onto the crash form, and then automatically applied to the citation form and any other necessary forms with the click of a button Common Information

Other Agencies

Select the name of another law enforcement agency that was actively involved in the vehicle pursuit during your agency’s participation in the active vehicle pursuit. Click on “Other” to enter an agency name that is not available in the drop down list. This field opened due to the entry made in the "#Other Known Agencies" field.

The Agency ORI field will automatically populate based on the selection made for the "Agency Name" field in the "Other Involved Agencies" segment. If "Other" is selected for the Agency Name field, the Agency Name and Agency ORI fields will need to be manually populated
