Transmission Updates

Task: Upgrading TraCS Software to August 2024 Release

1. Ensure that all TraCS Office users are logged out. (Field units, or squad cars, running the mobile version may continue to operate during the upgrade.)

2. Web Services Only: If your agency uses TraCS in Web Services mode you must email TraCS badgertracs@dot.wi.gov to enable update and, follow step 1 of Task 5.2(c): Install WI Pack Updates, Web Services Alternative of the Maintenance Guide and then continue as below.

3. Install new update following Task 5.2: Install WI Pack Updates

   1. Once installation is complete proceed to the next step.

4. Update transmission endpoints

   1. Log into the Configuration Manager using the Batch User.

   2. Navigate and click the Communication Button in the Transmission Ribbon

      Open

      

   3. Highlight and delete

      1. ufadToDOJ

      2. incidentToDOJ

   4. Highlight TransComm

   5. Click Import and choose the following

      Open

      

      1. Template

      2. No Let Me Choose

   6. Choose

      Open

      

      1. ufadToDOJ

      2. incidentToDOJ

   7. Click OK

   8. Click Apply

   9. Click OK

5. Exit the Configuration Manager

6. Stop all the TraCS services and then get all the services up and running

7. Start TraCS and allow clients to update
