Any forms returned by and Adhoc query that also contain location data (X, Y) can be mapped in TraCS.

Add Area Filter

One or more area filters can be added to the Map panel and applied on the map so that only markers within the selected area(s) are displayed. Once added to the Map panel, are filters can be distinguished from other non-filtering map layers by the Filter icon that is displayed next to them.

NOTE: Polygons can be added and removed from the library using the Add and Remove buttons. When a polygon is added to the library you can change the name and color that is used to display the polygon on the map by selecting the polygon and clicking the Properties button.

NOTE: Once a polygon is added to the library it will also be available when mapping any other Adhoc queries. Area filters added individually and not added to the library will remain saved within the current Adhoc query but will not be available in other queries.

Add Data Filter

One or more data filters can be added to the Data Filter panel and applied to the map so that only markers that belong to matching forms will be displayed.

NOTE: More than one data filter can be added and applied at a time. You can delete a data filter from the Data Filters panel after it has been added.

Import Map Layers

Map layers, which contain markers and/or polygons that can be displayed on the map, can be imported from KML files. A KML file is a standardized type of map file that can be obtained from third party sources.

NOTE: Click the Clear Map button to uncheck all of the layers in the Map Layers window. Doing this will remove those layers from the Map panel.

NOTE: Click the Remove button to remove the selected KML file from the Map Layers window. When a KML file is removed from the Map Layers window all of the layers that belong to that KML file are also removed from the Map panel. If a single layer is selected when the Remove button is clicked, the entire KML File that the layer belongs to is removed.

Export to KMZ File

You can export all of the map layers currently in available in the Map panel into a single KMZ file using the export to KMZ functionality. A KMZ file is a compressed version of KML and can be imported anywhere the option to import a KML file is available.

NOTE: The saved KMZ file can be imported into the Map window at any time using the Import Map Layer button.

Change Map Type

You can change the map you are using at any time after loading the Map window.
